For many years scientists believed that the proton radius was 0.877(6) fm based on a series of atomic Lamb shift and electron scattering measurements.
This talk will review the BFKL calculation of the forward scattering amplitude generated by QCD. The goal will be to derive the intercept of the pomeron trajectory.
