
Threshold PDFs beyond leading order - Marvin Schnubel (Brookhaven)
Abstract: We investigate the factorisation theorem of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) in soft-collinear effective theory (SCET) beyond leading power, taking mass effects into account. We will demonstrate how to derive the factorisation theorem, and discuss the differences between leading power and next-to-leading power processes in detail. It can be shown that rapidity divergences between individual component functions cancel, and endpoint divergent convolution integrals can be cured by employing refactorisation-based subtractions. Combining our findings we will also study the relationship between PDFs near the threshold and the threshold expansion of standard PDFs.
